Frequently asked questions

Are cell values converted to numbers?

No. Values stay text so leading zeros are preserved. A JSON number you already wrote stays a number when it is written to Excel.

Can this open old .xls files?

Save those as .xlsx or .csv first. This tool reads the current Excel format.
