Cookies

DevStack does not run advertising or analytics cookies. This page covers the small amount of storage the browser keeps for you, and the other sites linked from Follow me.

01

No tracking cookies

Opening DevStack does not drop an advertising or analytics cookie.

There is no ad network on these pages and no analytics cookie that follows you from tool to tool. DevStack does not sell a record of which pages you read.

A cookie, if one were required later to run the site, would be described on this page before it was used for anything beyond keeping the site working.

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No analytics cookies.
  • No cookie banner is shown because those cookies are not set.

02

What the browser remembers

Two features use localStorage, which stays on this device and is not sent with every page view.

Saved tools are a list of ids. The bookmark on a tool page writes or removes an id. The JSON formatter and the SQL formatter can restore the draft text you left in the editor.

localStorage is not a cookie. It does not travel to the API when you simply browse the directory. It is sent only if you take that text and submit it through the tool yourself.

  • Saved tools: a list of tool ids in this browser.
  • Formatter drafts: the text in the JSON or SQL editor.
  • Browsing the catalog does not upload that storage.

03

How to clear it

You can remove saved tools and drafts without writing to DevStack.

Use the save control on a tool to remove that one id. To remove every saved tool and both formatter drafts, clear site data for this site in the browser. That includes localStorage for DevStack.

Clearing site data does not delete a donation you already published. The donation list is stored for the public page, not in your browser.

  • Unsave a tool from its own page.
  • Clear site data to drop every local draft.
  • Published donations stay on the Donate page.

04

Other sites

Follow me opens Instagram, TikTok, GitHub, and Discord in a new tab.

Those sites are not DevStack. They set and read their own cookies under their own policies once you land on them. A link in the footer or on Follow me does not make DevStack responsible for that site's storage.

  • The new tab is the other site's page.
  • Their cookies follow their policy.
  • DevStack does not read those cookies.
